Morgan Schneiderlin has completed a medical at Manchester United ahead of a move from Southampton, according to reports.
Schneiderlin has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent weeks, and it now appears the move is all but done.
According to The Mirror, the French international arrived at Manchester United’s training complex on Sunday night to undergo a medical before signing a four-year deal with the option of an extra year.
Southampton were keen to hold onto the 25-year-old but are believed to have relented after closing in on a deal for Feyenoord midfielder Jordy Clasie.
The Mirror’s report suggests Schneiderlin will on Monday jet off to the United States to join his new teammates during the Red Devils’ pre-season tour.
Manchester United’s capture of Schneiderlin is the club’s fouth major signing of the summer following the additions of Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmian and Bastian Schweinsteiger.
According to the article, United’s spending is not done yet with manager Louis van Gaal looking to bring in a striker to replace Fenerbahce-bound Robin van Persie.
