No. 22 Boise State has been one of the hottest teams in college football with seven consecutive wins, and they have broken into the rankings with a 10-2 record.
The Broncos have scored at least 50 points in four of their last five games, and they came away with a 50-19 win over Utah State, who holds a 9-4 record.
Running back Jay Ajayi rushed for 229 yards and five touchdowns on 27 carries, and quarterback Grant Hedrick was efficient as he threw two touchdown passes with 191 yards on 18-of-24 passing.
They will look to improve to 11-2 as they face off against a 6-6 Fresno State team in the Mountain West Championship. The Bulldogs held off Hawaii for a 28-21 win last week.
This marked their third consecutive victory, but their defense will be severely tested as they have allowed 33 points per game this season.
Running back Marteze Waller will be the biggest test for the Broncos defense as he is coming off a game that consisted of 25 carries for 137 yards and a touchdown.
The Broncos are firing on all cylinders, so it’s difficult to see them getting upset by a middling Mountain West team, but stranger things have occurred in college football.
Prediction: Boise State 42, Fresno State 21
