Bosnian marksman has been at Eastlands since Jan 2011.
New Chelsea head coach Jose Mourinho wants to bring unwanted Manchester City front man Edin Dzeko to Stamford Bridge this summer, says the Daily Telegraph.
The highly-rated Bosnia and Herzegovina international has been at Eastlands for just the two-and-a-half seasons now, having been signed for the mega-rich Premier League club by previous City boss Roberto Mancini from Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg for £27 million in Jan 2011.
However, it is fair to say that in the intervening period the 27-year-old has found it hard at times to nail down a regular starting berth up front for the north-west giants, featuring in only 106 matches in all competitions during that time and scoring 40 goals in the process, including an impressive 30 strikes in just 76 Premier League outings.
And now the self-styled ‘Special One’ is understood to be keen to lure the prolific marksman to west London when the transfer window reopens on July 1.
