Portuguese is already busy putting together recruitment plans for next season.
Galatasaray midfield player Wesley Sneijder could become new Chelsea head coach Jose Mourinho’s first signing on his return for his second spell in charge of the west London club, says the Sun.
The skilful Netherlands international has only been in Istanbul since the turn of the year, when he signed for the Turkish giants from Inter Milan for 7.5 million euros on a three-and-a-half-year deal.
However, the 28-year-old has struggled badly for both form and fitness in the intervening six-month period, featuring in only 12 league matches for Gala, scoring three goals in the process, while overall the playmaker has played in just the 16 matches for the Turks, scoring four times with one further assists to his name,
However it is understood that Mourinho, who brought Sneijder to San Siro in 2009, before then winning the Uefa Champions League together the following year, is desperate to be reunited with the Dutchman and could now make him his first signing back at Stamford Bridge.
