Powerful marksman proved a huge success at the Hawthorns in the previous campaign.
New Chelsea head coach Jose Mourinho is intent on keeping in-form front man Romelu Lukaku at Stamford Bridge next season rather than loaning the player back out again to another Premier League rival, reports the Daily Mail.
The giant Belgium international has been in west London for two whole campaigns now, having signed for the Blues from Belgium giants Anderlecht on a five-year contract that could rise to as much as 20 million euros in Aug 2011.
However, incredibly the 20-year-old has appeared in just 12 matches for the Uefa Europa League holders in the mean time, including eight Premier League contests, and is still to find the back of the net for Chelsea, although Lukaku does have one assist to his name.
And now the Portuguese is said to be determined to keep the attacker at the Bridge next season as opposed to once again loaning the player out, as he was to West Bromwich Albion in the previous campaign.
