The Portuguese boss is open to allowing Luiz to transfer to Germany.
Chelsea defender David Luiz is the subject of interest from German giants Bayern Munich and Jose Mourinho is willing to let the Brazilian leave in January for £41m, reports A Bola.
The 26-year-old was one of the Blues best players last season, but Mourinho has concerns over Luiz’s defensive capabilities and has generally preferred a partnership of Gary Cahill and captain John Terry.
This lack of game time is frustrating for the South American and the chance to switch to the Allianz Arena would be a prospect most players would find difficult to turn down.
Bayern are currently a treble-winning club after securing the Bundesliga title, German Cup and Champions League in 2012/13.
Since then maverick coach Pep Guardiola has also taken over as manager and the Spaniard is a great draw for top players.
Luiz would also be able to link up with fellow Brazilian defenders Dante and Rafinha with the German champions.
Since Mourinho arrived back in west London this summer the centre-back has made just 10 appearances in all competitions – admittedly partly due to injury.
Luiz arrived at Stamford Bridge in January 2011 for a £21.3m fee from Benfica and has since played 120 matches in all competitions, which has included winning the Champions League, FA Cup and Europa League.
Barcelona were interested in the defensive ace back in the summer, but the club were unwilling to allow the Brazil international to leave at that time.
