Mourinho still not convinced enough by Lukaku’s progress.
Chelsea are unwilling to give their 21-year old striker Romelu Lukaku another loan opportunity this summer, but they could well look to sell him for the right price, reports the Daily Express.
The Belgian, who was initially thought of by some at Stamford Bridge as the next Didier Drogba, has not convinced Blues boss Jose Mourinho, who even had a spat with the youngster at the start of last season.
The West Londoners also have a problem with Lukaku’s attitude, and might well considering selling their star while the iron is hot.
The likes of Atletico Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur, Everton and Juventus are believed to be interested in the Belgium international, who has not done his reputation at the Bridge any good with a couple of lackluster showings at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil so far.
Lukaku’s agent confirmed that the Blues were not interested in further loaning out the former Anderlecht starlet, but hinted that his client may also sign a new contract with the West Londoners.
“Chelsea doesn’t want to loan him out. He has two years left on his contract and we would normally look at extending it shortly,” he said.
