The 2014 IPL continues as reigning champions Mumbai Indians are yet to get their first win and will be looking to do so when they face Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Not that it’s been a lot better for Hyderabad, who have won just once from their four matches and will also be desperate to get some more points on the board.
This is the last match in the UAE before the competition returns to India and Mumbai could go their whole time in the region without winning a single one of their five games.
Despite having an impressive top order, as yet the likes of captain Rohit Sharma, 2013 Orange Cap winner Mike Hussey, Kieron Pollard and Corey Anderson have all failed to perform together when needed.
In the bowling department it’s a similar story, as veterans Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh have not been as influential as wanted, although the form of Lasith Malinga has been one positive.
It’s slightly better for the Sunrisers, who in Australian duo Aaron Finch and David Warner have two batsmen in great form.
They will want to see more from their skipper and opener Shikhar Dhawan at the crease however, whilst Lokesh Rahul, Y Venugopal Rao and Darren Sammy all need to perform better.
Their bowling attack has been a little more solid than Mumbai’s, and seamers Dale Steyn and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have been well supported by spinners Amit Mishra and Karn Sharma.
