Kobe Bryant (Los Angeles Lakers) – 988,884 votes
fanatix says: If you need further proof the All-Star team are voted on as popularity contests and, sometimes, nothing more then look no further than Kobe Bryant’s selection.
Don’t get us wrong, the Black Mamba is one of the best ever and will be a lock for a Hall of Fame inductee when he does decide to hang up the Nikes.
But the fact he has only managed to play a handful of games this season, in between recovering from Achilles tendon surgery and now a broken bone, mean there is a reason why even Bryant himself is saying other players, such as a Damian Lillard or a James Harden, deserve the starting spot.
Much of this spot in the side will depend on how well Bryant plays when he does return from injury and if he can ‘go’ like he used to, because fanatix thinks if Bryant can’t go close to dominating in an All-Star game because of his health he won’t want to play.
As much as he would be dying to, realising he might not have that many more left in him physically.
