Kevin Love (Minnesota Timberwolves) – 661,246 votes
fanatix says: While he is one of, if not the best power forward in the NBA, Kevin Love’s accession to the starting side is a terrific vindication for a small-market team like the Timberwolves.
Competing for votes against other much bigger cities like Los Angeles and Houston, Love and the team have shown they too can compete with the rest of the Western conference when it comes to a fan vote.
LaMarcus Aldridge would consider himself very unlucky not to get a starting berth, given his outstanding form for the Portland Trailblazers, but despite this, Love has also been outstanding this season.
The only query we have is if Love will be able to bring enough of the showmanship that is vital to the All-Star game, as much as winning can be when competitive juices kick in during the fourth quarter if the score is close.
