3. Golden State Warriors vs LeBron James
There isn’t much left that hasn’t already been said about LeBron, as although Curry took home the MVP award, he is almost single-handedly dragging the Cavaliers towards a title this year.
In 14 playoff games, the two-time NBA champion is averaging 27.6 points, 10.4 rebounds and 8.3 assists. Golden State won’t be able to stop him, but they will need to figure out a way to limit him and that comes with a shared effort and multiple defensive stoppers deployed on him.
That in turn risks allowing another Cavs player to step up and make the most of the freedom that he might be afforded, but if coach Kerr can restrict James, then it will go a long way to securing the wins required to secure a championship.
While that is obviously easier said than done, it is possible and the Warriors are an elite-level defensive team that can use the likes of Draymond Green, Andre Iguodala or Harrison Barnes to guard him at different times as opposed to sticking one man on him and hoping for the best.
