Curry finished the game with 28 points while Andre Iguodala added 20, but it was the shot above that made the headlines as he somehow got it go despite hoisting an effort up from 29 feet in an attempt to win a foul.
The foul wasn’t given, which would have sent the Warriors point guard to the free-throw line for three shots, but it didn’t matter as he banked his effort to spark disbelief on the court.
Golden State haven’t started a season this well for 55 years, and they will have a chance to create more franchise history on Thursday night when they travel to Minnesota to take on the Timberwolves.
Despite winning a championship last season, the Warriors have come into this campaign full of motivation after many of their rivals downplayed their achievements last time round.
It appears as though that may turn out to be a huge mistake as the defending champions look determined to go again and repeat their success from last year.
Meanwhile, the troubles continue for the Grizzlies even though they seem to be slowly improving and they will look to get back to winning ways against the Portland Train Blazers on Friday.
