Los Angeles Lakers veteran Kobe Bryant was delighted with the news that his team would be getting the No.2 overall pick at the NBA Draft 2015 on June 25.

The Lakers finished the regular season with the fourth-worst record and as a result had a 17 percent chance of losing their first round pick to the Philadelphia 76ers if they fell to sixth choice after the NBA Draft Lottery.
However, they had a stroke of luck as they jumped up to No.2 and now have a good kind of headache ahead in making their decision on who to select.
Naturally, much will depend on what the Minnesota Timberwolves opt to do with the No.1 overall pick, but the Lakers are guaranteed to have either Jahlil Okafor or Karl-Anthony Towns available when they are on the clock.
As a result, it was no surprise that Bryant was delighted with the outcome as the franchise can add a franchise cornerstone to add to their selection from last year in Julius Randle.
Bryant is set to retire at the end of next season, but he will undoubtedly want to ensure that the organisation is in safe hands before he calls time on his career.
The Lakers also have significant cap space this summer and in turn they have been linked with a whole host of free agents including the likes of Rajon Rondo and Marc Gasol.
It remains to be seen who they can convince to join them, but after three years of disappointment, particularly given their sustained success over the years, they may well be clawing their way back to being a competitive force in the Western Conference again.
We played like crap all season so it's only right we get the #2 pick HA #lakerluck #goodday
