Los Angeles Lakers star Nick Young has suffered a small fracture in his left knee and will be re-evaluated on a weekly basis, the team has announced.

Nick Young has the solution for Lakers without Kobe: It’s pretty much as you can imagine.
Young isn’t expected to require surgery and the Lakers will let the injury heal itself, but it is not yet clear as to how long he will need to rest and it could well signal the end of his season.
The Lakers guard has missed the last 11 games with a swollen left knee and hasn’t played since the Lakers beat the Boston Celtics 118-111 on February 22.
Young managed to irk his coach and teammate Kobe Bryant that night as part of the group that celebrated and video-bombed Jeremy Lin’s post-game interview, and Byron Scott revealed that ‘Swaggy P’ hasn’t been able to do much in practice at all since the injury occurred.
“Nothing,” Scott said when asked what Young was able to do at practice, ESPN reports.
“He signed some autographs, went back in and got some treatment and that was about it.”
The pair also swapped jibes over Young’s new hairdo, with Scott saying it looks like he lost a bet while the Lakers star responded by stating that people with no hair are just jealous of him.
However, having averaged 13.4 points and 2.3 rebounds in 23.8 minutes per game in 42 games this season, the organisation would have liked to have seen more of Young on the court rather than attracting attention off it.
The 29-year-old didn’t practice on Wednesday, and it is unlikely that he will be joining his teammates any time soon as he looks to rest his knee.
