The NBA referee’s union claim they support Lauren Holtkamp, who was criticized for her officiating by Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul.
The Los Angeles Clippers were defeated 105-94 by the red-hot Cleveland Cavaliers, who won their 12th game in a row.

Chris Paul received one of five technical fouls charged to the Clippers, and the Los Angeles point guard openly critiscised the referee following the game.
“That’s ridiculous. If that’s the case, this might not be for her,” Paul said to ESPN.
Lauren Holtkamp, who gave Paul the technical, is one of two female officials currently in the NBA. The referee’s union insisted that her calls were reasonable, and claimed they would stand behind her.
The incident in question occurred in the third quarter, when Paul tried to get an inbounds pass as quickly as possible. Holtkamp stopped him however, reportedly saying: “Uh-uh.”
The 29-year-old claims he received a technical foul because he responded by asking: “Why uh-uh?”
He may find it difficult to convince the referee’s union he has a case however, as the Clippers currently lead the NBA in technical fouls with 58.
