Pablo Prigioni – New York Knicks to the Detroit Pistons
The Pistons received a hammer blow last week with the news that point guard Brandon Jennings was out for the season with a ruptured Achilles.
Having produced some of his best basketball in recent weeks since the departure of Josh Smith, Jennings is a huge loss for Detroit who had started targeting a spot in the playoffs.
While it remains to be seen whether or not they can still harbour realistic hopes of making the post-season, they will need to bring in reinforcements in the back court as DJ Augustin won’t be able to do it all himself.
Reports have already emerged that Prigioni will be the wily veteran to fill the gap for the rest of this season, and the Knicks will likely be open to the move as team president Phil Jackson continues to break up the current roster and prepare for a huge rebuild in the summer.
