Lance Stephenson – Charlotte Hornets to the Brooklyn Nets
It has become common knowledge that the Hornets are ready to give up on the Stephenson experiment as since his arrival in Charlotte last summer, he has failed to co-exist with Kemba Walker.
While injuries and lack of form have also affected his performances, it just hasn’t worked out the way many had hoped it would for the former Indiana Pacers star, and so it is likely that he will be moved on.
Speculation last year suggested that he would move to the Brooklyn Nets in a three-team deal, but more recently there are suggestions that it could be a direct deal between the two franchises which sees Joe Johnson move in the opposite direction.
The Nets are looking to offload some big contracts, and Johnson is one of a few players still earning considerable money. As a result, this move could make sense for both teams if the Hornets are willing to take on his salary as he would undoubtedly help them secure a place in the playoffs for a second season running.
