Knicks move for Dragic: Knicks offer two players for Suns guard.
Dragic explains why he wants Suns exit: (Vide0) Slovenian ace doesn’t trust front office.
According to ESPN, the Heat are offering Norris Cole, Josh McRoberts and Chris ‘Birdman’ Andersen as well as two first-round picks for the Slovenian star.
As a result, that has put them in the lead for his signature according to multiple sources with the New York Knicks also monitoring his situation.
Dragic has made it clear that he wishes to leave the Suns after insisting that he wouldn’t re-sign with them at the end of the season and he also provided them with a list of teams that he wanted to join.
On that list were the Knicks, Heat and the Los Angeles Lakers, but Phoenix are understood to be playing hard-ball with him and will listen to the best offer for them.
Given the assets on the table from Miami, it is difficult to see any other interested team coming up with an offer to rival them, and ultimately it appears as though the decision will come down to what the Suns prefer.
Dragic explained on Wednesday that he had lost trust in the front office this season, and the problem arguably stems from the decision to sign Isaiah Thomas last summer which has created a three-man guard rotation in Phoenix.
The 28-year-old has already deterred other interested teams such as the Sacramento Kings with his agent hinting that he wouldn’t be interested in re-signing with them at the end of the season when he becomes a free agent, so it remains to be seen whether or not he gets his wish and completes a move to Miami or New York.
ESPN reporting Heat's pitch for Goran Dragic is Norris Cole, Josh McRoberts, Birdman and two first-round picks.
