Bosh checked into hospital on Thursday night to get the tests done after feeling “under the weather” on Wednesday when he reported back to practice.
While the All-Star skipped practice on Thursday, initial tests were inconclusive according to a team spokesman and although there has been no confirmation of his condition, reports are claiming that it could be more serious.
The 30-year-old has been a vital part of the team this year in the aftermath of losing LeBron James to the Cleveland Cavaliers, as he averages 21.1 points per game and has added seven rebounds per contest too.
With the Heat trading for point guard Goran Dragic on Thursday ahead of the deadline, they would have hoped to put some pressure on the teams above them in the East but the loss of Bosh could be detrimental to that plan.
Nevertheless, at this stage his health will be the most important factor as worrying reports suggesting that it could be a blood clot in his lung emerged on Friday morning.
In this instance, it will be crucial to wait until official news from either the Heat or a spokesperson for Bosh, but the hope is that his situation isn’t as serious as some fear.
