The 2014/15 NBA season tips off on October 28 and here is our team-by-team preview ahead of the new campaign with predictions and projected starting line-ups.

Last season the San Antonio Spurs avenged their loss to the Miami Heat the previous year as they dazzled their way to another championship.

With Gregg Popovich and Tim Duncan returning for another year, can the reigning NBA champions add another ring to their collection?

While the Western Conference remains as competitive as ever, the East has shown signs of improvement this summer despite the general consensus that it will be a two-horse race between the Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Bulls have Derrick Rose back along with a talented support cast including the likes of Pau Gasol, Joakim Noah and Jimmy Butler, but the Cavs are considered the favourites after the return of LeBron James.

The two-time NBA champion returns to Cleveland after four years in Miami, and now forming a new ‘Big Three’ with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love, it will take something special to stop him in his quest for a third championship.
