Knicks make move for Dragic: Calderon and Hardaway were reportedly on the table.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Phoenix have now finalised a deal to send Dragic to Miami while Milwaukee have traded guard Knight to the Suns.
In addition, the Suns have also traded Isaiah Thomas to the Boston Celtics, while Milwaukee will receive Michael Carter-Williams, Tyler Ennis and Miles Plumee as part of the deal.
For Thomas, Boston will send Marcus Thornton and a 2016 first-round pick to Phoenix, and so after a quiet start to NBA trade deadline day, the market burst open in the closing moments with teams rushing to conclude deals.
Dragic made no secret of his desire to leave the Suns after he admitted on Wednesday that he did not trust the front office any longer.
As a result, he was forcing a move through to one of his preferred destinations, with the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks left disappointed after the Heat offered the best deal.
The Slovenian ace grew frustrated with the three-man guard rotation in Phoenix, and ultimately he will be pleased to have escaped from that situation as Thomas also departs to leave Eric Bledsoe and Knight in their place.
It is understood that Miami have sent Danny Granger, Norris Cole, Shawne Williams, Jordan Hamilton and two first-round picks to the Suns for Dragic, along with his brother, Zoran, who also played for Phoenix.
However, Cole and Williams were later moved on to the New Orleans Pelicans to complete a fascinating yet complicated deal.
