Rockets give up point guard for Nuggets forward.
The Houston Rockets have acquired Jordan Hamilton for point guard Aaron Brooks in the latest trade to come through on NBA deadline day.
Hamilton has been in trade discussions with the New York Knicks, but in the latest move the Rockets get the athletic wing player they need for the post-season.
The small forward, currently in his third-year in the league, has played 39 games for the Nuggets this season starting 11 of them.
In those games he averages 6.8 points, 3.4 rebounds at just 39 per cent from the field and 74 per cent from the free-throw line.
In Brooks, Denver gets the solid back up for Ty Lawson they have been needing desperately.
The 29-year-old has been in the league eight seasons and has played for the Rockets for six of them, and this season has averaged 7.0 points, 1.9 assists at 39 per cent from the field and 40 per cent from beyond the arc.
