For the first time since Week 6, the Florida State Seminoles are back in the No. 1 ranking in the Associated Press college football polls. Meanwhile, fresh off a win over the undefeated #1 Mississippi State Bulldogs, the Alabama Crimson Tide have moved back up to No. 2.
Seven upset losses over top 25 teams, including two losses in the top 10 and a close call by the TCU Horned Frogs, have shaken up the rankings significantly. The Crimson Tide are back in the No. 2 spot for the first time since Week 1 of the season, while Oregon was pushed down to No. 3 after taking the week off. TCU dropped to No. 5 after its close call against the hapless Kansas Jayhawks, and both Arizona State and Auburn fell out of the top ten after losing on Saturday.
The College Football Playoff polls will be released on Tuesday, but if the AP poll is any reflection, Florida State would play against Mississippi State and Oregon would play against Alabama.
