The duo met their team-mates and took part in their first training session on Tuesday morning.
New Adelaide United recruits Tarek Elrich and Isaias Sanchez say they are excited to get started at the Hindmarsh Stadium.
Right-back Elrich has joined from Western Sydney Wanderers, where he helped them win the Premiers Plate in their first season, after signing a two-year deal and met his new team-mates at training on Tuesday morning.
The 26-year-old could be considered a veteran of the A-League having racked up 145 appearances, 134 of which came with Newcastle Jets, during his career and says a move to Adelaide has been in the pipeline for some time.
It has been on the cards for a while,” Elrich told Football Australia “Signing for Adelaide United is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, and every time I have come here as a player I’ve enjoyed myself.”
“It’s a great club, it has got a rich history…it’s great to be here and I’m really looking forward to it.”
“I said no to other clubs before I had anything in cement here, so my heart was to come here, I’m here now and I’m loving it.”
Spanish midfielder Sanchez has also penned a two-year contract after being spotted in his home country by new coach Josep Gombau and Football Director Michael Petrillo.
Using Reds Assistant Coach Pau Marti the 26-year-old feels he will suit Gombau’s intended playing strategy at Adelaide as he and his fellow Spaniard will have been subjected to the same football teachings in their youth.
“All around Spain it is something normal that all of the teams are doing something similar, so it is something I already know because we did it in Spain from a young age,” Sanchez said.
“It’s good for my style of play and I think I can help my team mates to improve and learn that style.”
