New Brisbane Broncos recruit Darius Boyd has reportedly snapped his achilles tendon at training and will miss at least six months.
The Courier-Mail reports that the 27-year-old broke down at training on Friday morning at the end of his first week of training since returning to the Broncos.
He returned to Red Hill during the off-season, linking up with mentor Wayne Bennett after seeking treatment for depression.
Bennett previously stated that Boyd would be his number one full-back in 2015, despite having a number of options in the area.
More to come…
