The Chicago Bears replaced fired general manager with New Orleans Saints director of player personnel Ryan Pace, and he is looking to dig the Bears out of a hole as they finished last in the NFC North with a 5-11 record.
The newly appointed general manager has already stated that the decision on who the next Bears head coach will be is ultimately his.
Pace also plans to evaluate the future of quarterback Jay Cutler, who was unwisely given a $126 million contract extension.
Cutler may be on his way out the door, judging by Pace’s refusal to commit to him right away.
Pro Football Talk reported on Pace’s comments regarding the state of the Bears on Twitter.
