Wilfork has spent 11 seasons with the Patriots while making five Pro Bowl trips, and he has been a valuable locker room leader for the Patriots.
However, the Patriots have decided to move on without him as they will decline his 2015 option. This makes him an unrestricted free agent.
If the Patriots do not decide to re-sign him, Wilfork should be able to find a team willing to sign him to a one or two-year contract to help the defense and provide a veteran presence.
SportsCenter announced the Patriots’ decision to decline Wilfork’s option on Twitter.
