Dominic Kinnear has resigned has Head Coach of Houston Dynamo and will return to San Jose Earthquakes at the end of the current MLS season.
San Jose have confirmed Mark Watson has been relieved of his own duties as head coach – effective immediately. It is understood that his assistant Ian Russell will take control of first team affairs until the end of the season.

Current Houston Dynamo manager has been given the role, meaning he will return to the club where he started his managerial career in 2001 as an assistant. He is one of only four MLS managers to have won multiple MLS Cups, guiding the Dynamo to back-to-back titles in 2006 and 2007.
He is third in the all-time MLS list of most wins with 139, and is one of just six MLS managers who has won more than 100 matches.
Kinnear was also a successful player, winning 54 caps and scoring 9 goals for the United States’ national side.
