The 19-year-old has been offered £25,000-a-week to commit his long-term future to the club, which would increase his current £7,000 per-week wage three-fold.
However, The Sun report that the teenager and his representatives are using aggressive negotiation tactics and demanding at least double the current offer on the table.
This despite Ibe making just 12 appearances this season in the Premier League and two years left on his current deal.
This impasse follows a similar dispute over monies with Raheem Sterling who The Sun believe has already turned down a £5 million per-year contract.
And just to compound Brendan Rodgers’ misery, Martin Skrtel also has a few reservations over a three-year deal offered his way, as it requires him to play a minimum number of games to earn specific amounts.
It was expected that Ibe would have signed a new deal with reports over recent weeks saying an announcement was imminent.
However, the young star said over the weekend that he hoped everything would now be sorted at the end of the season.
