Saints TE Jimmy Graham dominated the preseason game and did his famous goal-post dunk celebration, drawing the ire of the NFL referees.
The New Orleans Saints defeated the Tennessee Titans 31-24 in Week 2 of the 2014 NFL preseason.
With QB Drew Brees once again sitting out because of a strained oblique muscle, QBs Luke McCown and Ryan Griffin led the Saints to 4 successful TD drives.
Saints TE Jimmy Graham also caught two TDs, but did not hesitate to dunk the ball over the goalpost – a move that has been banned by the NFL and now results in a penalty.
The Titans QB Jake Locker went 8 of 11 for 75 yards and a first quarter TD to WR Justin Hunter. Rookie backup Zach Mettenberger went 20 of 25 for 269 yards and two TDs with an INT.
Titans WR Justin Hunter had 4 catches for a game-best 111 yards and 2 TDs. The Saints’ leading receiver in the game was 3rd-year receiver Joseph Morgan.
