Pirlo has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Spanish giants.
Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly targeted Juventus and Italy star Andrea Pirlo as his next signing for the club.
The duo enjoyed great success together during their time at Serie A giants AC Milan, and have since gone on to achieve further success with Pirlo winning back-to-back Scudetti in Turin while Ancelotti has titles in both England and France.
However, reports in the Spanish media as reported by football-italia.net, now claim that Ancelotti would like to be reunited with the 34-year-old, who continues to shine for both club and country.
It is understood that the new Madrid coach attempted to sign his former player during his time at Chelsea, but Pirlo turned down the offer to remain at San Siro.
Nevertheless, he may be tempted by a switch to Spain, although it remains to be seen whether Juventus would be willing to merely entertain the idea of an exit.
The midfield genius has been in inspiring form at the Confederations Cup over the past month, helping the Azzurri reach the semi-finals, before eventually losing on penalties to Spain.
It has been a continuation of his impressive form for Juve, where he is expected to challenge for a third consecutive league title next season, while also helping the club achieve its ambitions in Europe.
However, Pirlo has a strong bond with Ancelotti after their time together in Milan, and it is unclear at this stage as to whether he may be tempted to quit Turin.
