Italian is happy for Argentinian to depart the Spanish capital.
Carlo Ancelotti’s arrival as the new head coach of Real Madrid should speed up front man Gonzalo Higuain’s summer move to Arsenal, says the Independent.
The experienced Italian, as expected, was confirmed as the successor to Jose Mourinho in the Santiago Bernabeu hot seat on Tuesday, having finally been released by his previous employers Paris Saint-Germain.
And now that the former Juventus, AC Milan and Chelsea boss has been installed in the Spanish capital, los Blancos can start to put in place their summer transfer strategy, starting with the sale of coveted attacker Higuain, who is wanted by both Arsenal and Serie A champions Juventus at present.
However, now that the ‘Old Lady of Italian Football’ are on the verge of sealing a £10 million move for Manchester City attacker Carlos Tevez, it appears as though the path has been cleared for Higuain to complete his long-awaited transfer to north London.
The Argentina international, who is expected to cost the Gunners a club-record fee of £25m, has registered an impressive 122 goals and 46 assists in just 266 matches in all competitions for los Blancos.
