The 21-year-old is garnering interested from a number of Europe’s top clubs but told outlet GloboEsporte that he has his set on a move to Stamford Bridge or Old Trafford.
“Every player dreams of Bayern, Chelsea, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United. But today, it was so difficult to become a professional at Internacional. I’m focused here and want to stay very focused here,” he said.
Dourado has been dubbed the ‘new Sergio Busquets’ in some quarters, according to the Daily Express, but a work permit could scupper any potential deal with the midfielder not yet playing internationally and therefore able to be deemed a ‘special talent’.
Chelsea being seen as one of the ideal destinations for top South Americans talents represents just how their image has grown in that part of the world in recent years.
With the signings of Oscar, Willian, Filipe Luis and Ramires the west London club has managed to also acquire a vast and committed fanbase.
Infact, the Daily Mail released a detail breakdown of just which clubs every country supports based on their Twitter activity with Chelsea dwarfing Arsenal in second and Man City in third.
Dourado is just the latest Brazilian linked with Chelsea with another talented starlet, Nathan, supposedly close to signing a contract at Stamford Bridge having already passed a medical.
