Xherdan Shaqiri has been spotted at the Britannia Stadium this afternoon, watching Stoke City take on Liverpool on the opening weekend of the Premier League season.
The Inter Milan winger has been heavily linked with the Potters, who were thought to have cooled their interest when Shaqiri failed to respond to their offer for him.
But it seems as though Mark Hughes has not given up hope of signing the Swiss international, who was in the stands watching Stoke play the Reds – suggesting that a transfer could be imminent.

Shaqiri only joined Inter from Bayern Munich in January, but Roberto Mancini is reportedly willing to offload the 23-year-old in order to create funds to bring in new players.
He scored three times in 20 appearances for the Italian side, and previously 13 in 68 for Bayern, with whom he won the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal and Champions League treble in 2012-13.
Liverpool, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur have also been credited with an interest in Shaqiri.
