Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino keen to sign former charge as first White Hart Lane acquisition.
North London side Tottenham Hotspur are ready to battle with Inter Milan for Espanyol and Mexican international centre back Hector Moreno, reports talkSPORT.
Spurs’ new boss Mauricio Pochettino is eager to make his own mark on transfer dealings at White Hart Lane, and wants to land his former player Moreno as one of his first signings for his new club.
26-year old Moreno is currently at the 2014 FIFA World Cup playing for Mexico, and is known to possess good technical ability.
Spurs, moreover, are in need of a defensive makeover, and Moreno could be an option worth considering, particularly with the futures of their current centre-backs Younes Kaboul and Michael Dawson uncertain.
Although Inter Milan too could present a very lucrative option for Moreno, Pochettino’s prior links to the Mexican international from his time at Espanyol could sway the deal in favour of the Lilywhites.
