New Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino wants to sign his former Southampton skipper Adam Lallana ahead of Liverpool.
Newly appointed Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino is keen on landing his former star from Southampton Adam Lallana this summer, reports the Daily Mirror.
The 42-year old agreed a 5-year deal as head coach of Spurs on Tuesday, and now has a big job on his hands to propel the North Londoners into the top 4.
Industrious midfielder Adam Lallana is considered one of the most improved players from last season, and has become a hot property on the transfer market after having netted 10 goals in 42 games for the Saints.
While Merseysiders Liverpool are considered favourites to land the 26-year old, the prospect of playing under Pochettino, who shares a good professional rapport with all the Saints players, could appeal to the England international.
Southampton are believed to be asking for around 25 million pounds for the wide midfielder though, and it remains to be seen whether the Lilywhites will want to spend that much cash on the Saints skipper.
