Harry Kane speaks out about £40m Man United transfer talk – Spurs fans, BE AFRAID
10 players set for transfers to Chelsea, Arsenal & Man Utd: Hugo Lloris among Champions League chasers
The duo are wanted by Manchester United, but Tottenham are determined to keep the pair in order to challenge for a top-four finish in the Premier League.
Goalkeeper Lloris will be promoted to captain after previously being vice-captain while Kane is set to be the Frenchman’s deputy.
Last season, Pochettino made a surprising call by giving the precious armband to Younes Kaboul, as well as making Emmanuel Adebayor with Lloris as vice-captains.
With Kaboul and Adebayor likely to be among the players leaving Spurs this season, the leadership roles will be left vacant.
The captain roles are not entirely new to Lloris and Kane though, as they were both used as captains at some point in last season. Kane, in particular, will be a strong choice for captain, as he has shown a lot of promise and has emerged as the face of Tottenham.
