New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. has missed the majority of training camp and practices due to lingering hamstring injuries.
Giants rookie WR Odell Beckham Jr., who the team drafted No. 12 overall in the 2014 Draft, spent Tuesday’s practice on the sidelines with an unspecified injury.
Beckham had been on the sideline for weeks with a hamstring injury, publicly drawing the disappointment of head coach Tom Coughlin during that time, but had finally returned to practice last week.
The rookie WR is considered the long-term replacement for departed WR Hakeem Nicks, who left in free agency and signed with the Colts in the off-season.
Beckham was the third wide receiver taken in the 2014 NFL draft. The LSU product was named Second-Team All-SEC and a Third-Team All American in 2013, and also won the Paul Hornung award for the most versatile player in football with his combination of receiving and kick return skills. Originally seen as a mid to late first round pick, his stock skyrocketed after he posted a 4.43 40-time in the NFL combine.
