After missing the playoffs for their second straight season and suffering their first losing record since 2004, the Giants look like a weak link in an already weak division. But the Giants star defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul feels that the Giants will win the division title this year.
”We’re gonna win it!” Pierre-Paul told Stephen A. Smith on Sirius XM Mad Dog Sports Radio channel on Friday. Pierre-Pail cut his host short when Smith seemingly was going to say that the Philadelphia Eagles appeared to be the favorite in the division.
”Trust me, we got this,” Pierre-Paul said. ”Offense is gonna tighten up and they’re gonna do their job. I believe in the offense. And they know it. And we’re gonna come out with a win this week, you know, hopefully. We gotta do our jobs. Defense is gonna do their part, offense is gonna do their part and then most of all, special teams is gonna do their part.”
The Giants went 7-9 after starting 0-6 in 2013, but the team chose to retain head coach Tom Coughlin. Offensive Coordinator Kevin Gilbride retired and the team hired former Packers coach Ben McAdoo to introduce the West Coast offense to the Giants.
