Quarterback Eli Manning struggled in his start, throwing for only six yards on 1-for-7 passing. The running game also fell back to Earth as Andre Williams was held to 19 yards on eight carries, and Rashad Jennings only had 17 yards on seven carries.
Michael Cox had the most noteworthy performance of the running backs, gaining 32 yards on seven carries with a key touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Ryan Nassib shined in backup quarterback duty, throwing for 158 yards on 11-for-15 passing while throwing the game-winning touchdown with 55 seconds remaining.
Defensive end Damontre Moore and rookie linebacker Devon Kennard each made noise by posting a sack apiece.
For the Colts, quarterback Andrew Luck threw for 89 yards and a touchdown on 12-for-18 passing. He showed great chemistry with Hakeem Nicks, who led the Colts in receiving with five catches for 53 yards.
Wide receiver Da’Rick Rogers also found the end zone on his only catch, which went for 14 yards. Linebacker D’Qwell Jackson made an impact with four tackles and a sack.
