The entire Jets organization wants to believe that Geno Smith is their QB of the future. Michael Vick certainly seems to agree.
Despite being demoted from potential competitor to backup QB for the New York Jets, former Pro Bowler Michael Vick is very impressed with what he has seen from Geno Smith and expects good things from him as the team prepares for the first preseason game against the Colts.
‘He’s going to be great,” Vick told the media. ”He’s going to be 10 times better than where he was last year and I’m looking forward to it.”
Vick signed with the Jets after five injury-filled seasons with the Eagles, during which he made the Pro Bowl and was named Comeback Player of the Year in 2010. Vick stated on many occasions that he believes he can still be a starting QB in the league, but has often repeated that he feels Geno Smith is the starter for the team.
