The New York Jets have fallen to 1-3, and quarterback Geno Smith has drawn the ire of fans. One fan in particular reportedly heckled Smith out of frustration for his underwhelming performance.
This caused Smith to lash out and yell “f— you” at the fan twice. Matters were made worse for the quarterback when Jets fans began chanting “we want Vick.” This is in reference to Michael Vick, who is currently the backup quarterback and has starting experience.
Ever since the incident, Smith has apologized for yelling at the fan, admitting that he lost his temper. This display of emotional insecurity may fuel the fire for Smith to be benched in favor of Vick.
