The New York Jets have parted ways with cornerback Leon McFadden, who was drafted in the third round of the 2013 draft by the Cleveland Browns.
The Jets claimed him off waivers after the Browns released him during the 53-man roster cuts. This was due to their lack of cornerback depth since Dee Milliner has missed time with an ankle sprain and fellow starter Dimitri Patterson was released.
However, the Jets decided they no longer have any use for McFadden. Their defense looked promising against the Oakland Raiders as they won 19-14, and one of their touchdowns allowed was in garbage time.
Here is a tweet from the Jets’ official Twitter account announcing their latest transaction.
