New Zealand Warriors have their first win of the season after downing the Raiders by 12 points in Canberra.

The Warriors, who went down to Newcastle in round one, powered ahead against Canberra early in the second half.
New Zealand scored first in an entertaining first half through Manu Vatuvei. The big winger finished off a set move from a scrum.
Canberra replied soon after. Sisa Waqa showed a great leap when he jumped high and claimed Mitch Cornish’s bomb.
It was 6-6 at half-time but then the Warriors exploded. On 42 minutes Solomone Kata got over for his first ever NRL try.
Three minutes later and the Warriors went further in front. Chad Townsend launched a bomb and Ryan Hoffman jumped to grab it and touch down under the posts.
New Zealand was 18-6 ahead and costing. The Raiders tried to get back into the match but the Warriors’ defence was solid.
Shaun Johnson tried a field goal in the final minutes but it was wide. However, it didnt matter, the Warriors’ 12-point lead was enough to see them home.
