New Zealand Warriors forward Sam Lousi is rumoured to be making a cross-code switch, according to reports.
Both Fairfax Media and Newstalk ZB have reported Lousi may make a move from the NRL club to reigning Super Rugby champion New South Wales Waratahs.
The 23-year-old made his debut for the Warriors in 2012, but has played just one game this year after a season hampered by injury.
Lousi has another year left on his contract, but according to Newstalk ZB, Warriors general manager of football Dean Bell has confirmed he has heard the rumours and understands there a discussions taking place.
Fairfax Media report Waratahs coach Michael Cheika was at Leichhardt Oval on Sunday watching Lousi play for the Warriors’ NSW Cup side against Mounties.
