Mata scored his first goal for the Red Devils last weekend, and a brace against the Magpies put the Spaniard’s team on course for an impressive away victory.
Javier Hernandez later trebled Man Utd’s lead with a fine finish from Shinji Kagawa’s cutback, and Adnan Januzaj added to the scoreline late on.
