Loic Remy is travelling for a medical on Tyneside ahead of a move to Newcastle…
Newcastle are closing in on a loan deal for QPR’s French striker Loic Remy, who is heading North for a medical according to Sky Sports.
The 26-year-old was brought to QPR by Harry Redknapp in January, but his six goals failed to help them avoid relegation. Remy has 18 caps for France, and is too highly rated to be playing Championship football this term.
Newcastle have been chasing a striker all summer, and could also snap up Aston Villa’s forgotten man Darren Bent.
