Beau Scott has extended his contract with the Knights until the end of the 2017 NRL season.
Newcastle Knights forward Beau Scott has extended his contract with the NRL club until the end of the 2017 season.
Scott joined the Knights in 2013 on a four-year deal, with that now extended by another season.
Whilst playing at the Knights, Scott has captained the Country Origin side whilst also playing in New South Wales’ historic State of Origin win.
Scott said the club had a bright future ahead.
“Newcastle is a great club with plenty of passion. I want to be part of that going forward,” Scott said.
“We have some very, very good youngsters coming through and I look forward to working with them in the years ahead.
“While this year has been disappointing from a results point of view, I am confident some good times are just around the corner.”
Knights CEO Matt Gidley said he was pleased to secure Scott long-term.
“Beau has been an outstanding addition to our Club and this extension caps off a highly successful season for him personally as well,” Gidley said.
“Beau is an integral member of our Club and will play an influential role in developing the culture and progression of our young local talent.”
