According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Scott has a get-out clause in his contract which he plans to activate due to family reasons.
Scott recently signed a deal with the Knights keeping him at the club until 2017, however it now looks likely that he will return to Sydney.
Former club St George Illawarra is believed to be leading the chase for the 30-year-old, however the report suggests that the Wests Tigers are also interested in the NSW forward.
Scott won a premiership with the Dragons in 2010, before following coach Wayne Bennett to Newcastle in 2013.
The late-hit merchant has been in the news this week following his hit on Johnathan Thurston last weekend.
Scott received a grade-one dangerous contact charge, but is free to face the Gold Coast Titans on Sunday after entering an early guilty plea.
