QPR may be on their way to relegation from the Premier League, but they did not let this stop them from playing spoiler against Newcastle United as they won, 2-1.

Despite their loss that may be considered embarrassing by some, Newcastle manager John Carver immediately disputed notions that his squad “bottled it” against the Premier League bottom feeders.
“I’m not so sure about bottled it. We had a 10-minute mad spell in the game. In the first half we were in control not under any threat,” Carver said to ESPN FC.
QPR is still in 20th place with 30 points, and Newcastle is in 17th place with 36. It is now a possibility that they may be relegated from the Premier League as well.
Their streak of winless matches has been extended to 10.
Hull City is currently in 18th place with 34 points, and a win equals three points in Premier League play.
However, Hull City avoiding relegation is highly unlikely as their fate will be decided by a match against Manchester United.
Newcastle will not have an easy match ahead of them either, as they are scheduled to face West Ham.
